This piece was entirely inspired by seeing lights in the trees of a Brisbane university while driving home from a concert one night. Seeing how the lights flickered as the branches moved created such beauty, and there was also fluidity & long lines in the movement. Here you’ll find representations of both these things; constant movement coupled with connection and long lines. The mixture of A major & F# minor expands the students’ tonal palette, as well as challenging students at this level to play C#’s & G#’s well in tune.
